Eat, drink and be merry ... or was it sick?

I've just come back from three and a bit days of fun down at my friend Bob's holiday shack down in Goolwa. We did four things: eat, drink, have fun, and sleep. The ideal life for almost any uni student.

The party minus me. From left to right, Ian (aka Vidmaster for those Noders of you who read this), Bob, Henry and then Jits.

It's me!

The first day, Ian, the designated Driver, came down to pick me up, also having picked up our host Bob. We drove for about two hours down to Goolwa, picking up Henry and his friend Jits from the service station that was the Goolwa coach stop, then going to the shack. We then went to buy supplies at the local mall. Turns out we bought way too much stuff, but I doubt anyone's complaining much. The same goes for all the booze. We spent the afternoon cooking a barbeque (chicken fillets are nowhere near an ideal food to cook on the barbeque), and I got a nice sunburn on the back of my neck for my troubles. We spent the late afternoon playing cards and watching DVDs, before settling downt to a nice dinner of reheated frozen pizzas. The absence of one fellow, due to glandular fever, hurt us in that he actually knew how to cook. A little after dinner, we came outside, lighting a fire and proceeded to have drinks by the light of the bonfire. Needless to say, I discovered the (mixed) joy of tequila shots.

More to follow later.
